I get a lot of comments every time I talk about how I do not drink coffee anymore! Most of the time people are wondering what I am doing to feel so good! Do not get me wrong, I still need caffeine and I also take Zhou Nutrition supplements to help me out. I could not do it with out the best quality supplements available!
I drink Arbonne protein shakes and fizz sticks for energy instead of coffee. I love how the fizz sticks dont stain my teeth like coffee does and I never have to feel frustrated because my coffee gets cold… I chose Arbonne and Zhou Nutrition for my supplements mostly because they are a source for the highest quality ingredients. They also have very high product standards.
Since starting Arbonne I have seen a 5 pound weight loss after my first cleanse in Jan and I am hooked with how amazing I feel after cleansing my body. Adding Zhou Nutrition Collagen to my protein shakes has really helped protect my joints and improve my hair and skin. The Zhou Nutrition Collagen Peptides also have 10G of protein so I enjoy the additional protein in my protein drinks! I try to eat high protein, low/no carb diet. You can still consume carbs being gluten free, they would be found mostly in rice and potatoes, which I do eat but definitely try to avoid. I also try and avoid dairy, I mix my shakes in a blend of soy and almond milk. These silicone straws from Amazon have been a huge contributor to increasing how much I drink everyday.
So here is what a typical day looks like for me…
I make my drinks for the day in the morning so I dont have to stop and do it when I get busy later on, because I will keep putting it off and then end up never getting to it. So if you struggle like me premake everything! Yeti and healthy human both make really great thermos cups that will keep drinks cold for a really long time!
Morning drinks! 6am
Arbonne Chocolate protein 2 scoops with Zhou Nutrition collagen peptides 1 Scoop (8oz almond + 8 oz soy/coconut milk)
Arbonne fizz stick- citrus is my fav but pomegranate is really good too (6-8oz water)
Zhou Nutrition Keto drive 1 scoop (16 oz water)
usually I will snack on a Cliff bar, GF toast with Almond butter or GF pretzles, (love Quinn pretzles with almond butter too)
sometimes I skip lunch, I admit, It depends when I get hungry for a snack. If I eat lunch it might be what the kids are having or I will make a sandwich on GF bread. on days I dont eat lunch I end up having 2 snacks.
Dinner! 530 or 8pm
I usually will make a meat, rice or potato, and a veggie.
Here is the deal, my kids usually eat at 530 because they got to bed at 730. If Kevin isnt home I will snack with the kids and eat my main meal when he gets home(in an ideal world, sometimes I am starving and eat with the kids) Kevin hates how bland I cook, but I really try to not use alot of STUFF I will just stick with spices and the 3 main ingredients. He is a sauce and condiment kinda guy and I am just not. so we clash in that area, but I do meet him in the middle and get a little saucey now and then. HAAA had to! I love meal prepping so usually I will do 3 meals this style and then a pasta dish (GF pasta) Then we order take out usually on the weekend or I will pick up a fish and have a more fancier date night at home if we arent going out together.
After dinner I rarely eat. so I am not going to put anything here for dessert. My daughter and husband will occasionally want ice cream but I do not allow dessert more than 2 times a week. That is pretty much it, if you have any questions or need gluten free tips or advice please feel free to ask!
Usually I take my protein drink and Zhou Nutrition Keto Drive in the car with me to drop off KoKo. I try to take a few sips of each before I get to the gym after dropping her off. I drink the Keto while I work out and I drink the Protein drink on my way home. On days I am not going to the gym I will drink the black cherry Keto in water all day and love the taste! Collagen does taste alittle like jello, but its yummy mixed with the Zeto for energy and fat burn! (I am not a fitness professional this is just what I personally do, please check with your doctor if you have any medical health conditions)
So since I did the 30 days to healthy living challenge and “reset” my body with a cleanse I have decided to complete the Arbonne cleanse every 2 months. I am feeling a bit bloated right now since last month I cheated and ate some dairy. The Arbonne cleanse is easy, you limit a few different food categories, like dairy and gluten and then start your day with a light workout and follow their 30 days to healthy living diet and cleanse. The cleanse part starts on week 2. During this time you sip your pre mixed cleanse drink throughout the day. It is really gently and doesn’t make you spend the day in the bathroom. Eating healthy prior to drinking the cleanse will help the effects of the cleanse be less harsh. Once you complete the cleanse week you will continue to eat healthy and substitute 2 meals a day for protein shakes. You will start to notice huge changes in your energy, focus, and over all mood. I kept snacks like almonds, cashews, chicken, and steamed veggies handy so I could grab a healthy option before I got “hangry.”
