Hey babes!! I am planning for labor and I will admit I am scared. I did not go into labor with Koko, I never even felt a real contraction. She was breech and I had preeclampsia so she was born via emergency C-section… I was actually supposed to have a C-section tomorrow 8/25 for this baby but a few weeks ago I got brave and decided to go for a vbac. So I canceled the C-section and I am hoping and praying for the best possible delivery and a healthy baby boy. I decided to buy some labor lipstick the other day because I feel like when I have my makeup done I can achieve anything.

When I start my day in the morning and get ready it boosts my mood and energy level for the day… I am hoping that I can feel my best during delivery and that will keep my energy and positivity up. SO no matter what time of day I go into labor I am going to make sure I take the time to distract myself from the pain and put some makeup on and feel good. Distraction is key for me to get through pain.
Did you know I live with cronic pain?  Probably not because I try and hide it with my lipstick theory. My right foot was crushed 2 years ago and I have nerve damage. The diagnosis is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS.) Thankfully it has good and bad days but it has not gone away and I haven’t been pain free for over 2 years. I have had to give up ALOT like heels and skiing and running…. anyways I have adapted and strive on and I also get by without medication. My choice for a better quality of life. I hope this helps me during labor…

Introducing Harley, our 9 month old labradoodle! He is such a goofy boy. We love him very much… We decided to get a 3rd dog after we suffered a miscarriage. I actually found out I was pregnant exactly one year ago… I was pregnant for about 8 weeks. Harley was born in December, I found out I was pregnant again, completely by surprise in December. Harley is now 9 months old and I am 9 months pregnant with our rainbow baby… Pretty weird how life works isnt it. In a few short days our family will be complete. We have 3 great dogs and will have the daughter and son we dreamed of. I thank god for these blessings!

I hope that you all are inspired to be the best version of yourselves no matter what life has thrown at you. Everyone has a story and we are all fighting battles… Labor lipstick is a metaphor for how we all get through our challenges. Everyone has their method of coping and I would love to hear from you if this post resonates with you.

Best to you all, thanks for stopping by!
